Guide Abderrahim Oukioud (Abdu) Nominated for 2018 World Guide Awards

We are pleased to announce that Abderrahim Oukioud, known as Abdu, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Wanderlust World Guide Awards 2018.

The awards honor the outstanding dedication and commitment of tour leaders who provide exceptional experiences for travelers worldwide. This year, over 4,000 nominations were received globally, a record-breaking number for the awards. The judges have selected 10 finalists, including Abdu, who specializes in guiding tours in Morocco.

Abdu expressed his appreciation for the nomination, stating :

"I am deeply passionate about my work and proud to be recognized in this way."

Over the last six years, Abdu has guided over 1,000 travelers with Intrepid and remains connected to many of them.

Raised in the Atlas Mountains as a Berber, Abdu was a competitive runner before transitioning to his tour guide career 13 years ago. Reflecting on his home country, Abdu said :
